Five women’s groups; Zisuung, UJinnawan, Tizaabini, Tintooni, and N-Mombei in Yendi, each with varying sizes and financial needs, found a common ally in Tradeline Consult. Tradeline Consult committed to supporting women entrepreneurs, regardless of the scale of their businesses, guided these 5 groups to secure loans from the Tamale Presby Co-operative to boost their shea business.
While some groups required significant capital to fuel their ambitions, these five began with modest loans proving that financial empowerment is not about the size of the loan, but the impact it creates.

Zisuung Women Group
With 31 members led by Abdulai Maami, the Zisuung Women Group had long struggled with limited access to capital. Tradeline Consult recognized their potential and connected them with Tamale Presby Co-operative, where they secured a loan of GH¢5,400 “The moment we received the loan, we knew our lives were about to change. We could finally buy more shea nuts, improve our equipment, and meet growing demand.” Abdulai Maami shared. With their first loan successfully repaid, the group secured another GH¢5,400, doubling their production capacity and expanding their reach into neighboring markets.
UJinnawan Women Group, has just 10 members, but their ambitions were enormous. Under the leadership of Kamal Mamunatu, the group struggled to acquire the resources needed to take their business to the next level. Their breakthrough came when Tradeline Consult facilitated a partnership with Tamale Presby Co-operative, securing an initial loan of GH¢8,900.
Kamal Mamunatu reflected “Our dream was always to expand, but we lacked the means. This support changed everything.” With their first loan, the group scaled up production. Their success enabled them to secure a second loan of GH¢8,900.

Tizaabini Women Group
Tizaabini Women Group, led by Abdulai Faiza, also had 10 members facing the harsh reality of financial exclusion, unable to compete with larger producers. With guidance from Tradeline Consult, they secured an initial loan of GH¢19,000 Ghana Cedis from Tamale Presby Co-operative. They later secured another loan of GH¢19,000. “This loan was our lifeline. We were able to purchase better equipment, hire more hands, and improve our shea butter quality.” Abdulai Faiza said.
With only five members, the Tintooni Women Group exemplifies how even the smallest enterprises can thrive with the right support. Led by Mutaru Faiza, Tradeline Consult’s intervention helped them secure their first loan of GH¢10,000 as their first loan and another GH¢10,000 from Tamale Presby Co-operative. “We never imagined that such a small group could access funding. But Tradeline Consult made sure we had the opportunity.” Mutaru Faiza remarked.
Comprised of 31 women and led by James Grace, the N-Mombei Women Group started as a support system for women in their community. However, their dreams of financial independence seemed distant until Tradeline Consult connected them with Tamale Presby Co-operative. With an initial loan of GH¢14,000 Ghana Cedis, they expanded their shea butter business. This allowed them qualify for another loan which enabled them to increase production and market reach.
“When we saw our business grow, we realized we could dream bigger, now we no longer have to rely on others for financial support.” James Grace stated. The group’s responsible management led to another loan of GH¢14,000, helping them further solidify their place in the market.
The success stories of these five women’s groups highlight one crucial message: Tradeline Consult is committed to supporting all businesses, whether large or small. By connecting women with financial institutions that believe in their potential, Tradeline Consult is breaking barriers and ensuring that no woman is left behind in the journey toward economic empowerment.
