In the Lomba community of the Gusheigu District, a group of hardworking women farmers were recently celebrated by the Tamale Presby Cooperative (PCC) for their dedication and significant improvement in their farming activities.
The recognition came after the cooperative observed how well the women were managing their farms and repaying their loans; a strong indicator of growth and discipline following the support they received through a loan facility. To acknowledge their progress, the cooperative, led by Mr. George Gmanjun, presented them with farming inputs including weedicides, cups, and soaps to assist in the upcoming season.

This visible progress would not have been possible without the foundational support from Tradeline Consult. Through continuous field visits, capacity-building, and financial literacy training, Tradeline helped the women become loan-ready and successfully connect with the cooperative. This support enabled them not only to secure funding, but to use it wisely for the growth of their farms.
“These women have come a long way, and it’s fulfilling to see their hard work being recognized. This is what we work for — sustainable change,” said Baba Rasheed, Tradeline’s field officer in Yendi.
This story reflects Tradeline’s broader mission: to enable rural women to thrive by unlocking access to finance, knowledge, and opportunities, ensuring they can build sustainable livelihoods through agriculture.
